Ah, yes. Finally remembered what I was going to bitch about.

Well, notice the television advertisments nowadays? The standard seems to be deterioating, which is amazing, given how bloody fucking low it was before.

But no, I swear that it is worse this time. From my experiences with TV mobile, anyhow.

So that day I am on a bus, and this advertisment for Gatsby hair gel comes on. It features 3 punk-like people with huge hair that is obviously fake (that is not the point however). So ok, not so bad yet. Sure they look like a bunch of fuckheads, but I can live with that. Then they begin singing. And that is the worst goddamn fucking part of the thing. Because they (one of them at least) belt out the worst bloody rendition of "If you're happy and you know it..." ever. And I mean it is seriously horrible. A monkey being slowly strangled to death would have sounded more alive than the bastard. And then they clapped their hair, and it looked incredibly spastic.

And this went on for a good 30-45 seconds. Enraged by its sheer inanity, I wanted to step forth and bash the TV set in, but my hand was stayed by the knowledge of the twin facts that it was a public place and the set was public property. So I simply turned my head away in disgust.

We need quality control for advertisments.
