My days pass in (relative) idleness. I think I had more impetus to pick up the books back in RI. Did I need to more then? Perhaps.
Government is asking for feedback from the young. Apparently, we can help shape the future of our nation. Words cannot even begin to express my gladness. One reported response they got from a 17-year-old went something like "I can't even shape my own future, how to shape the future of the country?" It was blithely ignored in the rest of the newspaper report. Surprise, surprise.
Are they really blind, or do they prefer to act like the proverbial Brezhnev in the famous Soviet joke: draw the curtains, rock back and forth, make clicking noises and pretend the train is moving?
