No, my Deutsch is most definitely not wunderbar, despite what might be going on currently on my tagboard.

Fortunately, life as a whole is reasonably so, despite my supposedly healed injury troubling me more than I usually care to admit. Work is settling into a comfortably familiar pattern of woodpulp frustration, and bridge is fashionable after office hours (although with Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Skip, Reverse and Draw Two rather than Diamonds, Clubs, Hearts, Spades and King, Queen and Knave). I enjoy it now as much as I used to, despite the fact that my once and future partner can somehow endeavour to lose a 2 bid with ten cards of the colour. I once thought it impossible, but new day, new discovery.

The hot topic now, of course, is the election - and for the first time in 18 years the PAP was not returned to power on Nomination Day. That is, they technically could lose this one. Of course, I'm not believing that they will and the main reason is I am neither an idiot nor delusional. But does this indicate that we will in future actually see the semblance of a contest instead of the PAP winning by walkovers every time? Is this the death of Chiam See Tong's once-beloved "by-election" strategy? Perhaps. It is, I must comment, the most revolutionary election in a long time.
