Day 2: Sukhothai









We had no idea whose cat this was, but it sidled into our room and onto our bed first thing in the morning and refused to leave despite much persuasion. Elgin eventually bundled it in a blanket and threw it out.

Some idea of its size can perhaps be gauged by this picture, which shows me with one of the elephants at its base.

The place we went to: Sukhothai Historical Park, 14km outside the town itself.




Roger and I in the wooden bus that took us back to town. Yes, it really was a bus made (mainly) of wood.


Day 3: Back to Bangkok

Not many photos from this day, because we spent most of it on the mind-numbingly long ride back to Bangkok and the rest of the time on trying to find accomodation for the night. So here is a shot of the room we eventually found, with Roger apparently feeling the heat of a Thai summer.
