Basket.

I seem to have something of a penchant for posting on Thursday nights. Hm.

I spent most of the last weekend playing Civ II, which can be eerily like a drug. Just one more turn, and before you know it it's 3am. The rest of it, I spent with Winston, as we went downtown for a quiet dinner and a bit of time together. We were planning to get a drink someplace, but we ran out of money. Our fate was to be $3.95 Bacardi Breezers from 7-11, which tasted more like soft drinks. I shouldn't complain, I guess, because I do still want my liver.

So it was that we ended up next to the bay at the Esplanade again, and caught a free concert. I didn't much like the music, truth to tell, but it didn't matter. The company more than made up for it. It would have been a much better night, though, if it hadn't been so terribly humid - and if the bus had not taken about 25 minutes to come, which for the amount I am paying is completely inexcusable.

I returned to camp, and on Tuesday for once did something with my night's off, meeting HISSOC Core again for dinner. We do live up to our name, because whenever we get together a hot topic is history. They are the most well-informed bunch I know, truth to tell and no offence to everyone else. Plenty of good conversation every time we see each other - although it's always the costliest of my gatherings.

Yes, I am aware this is just about the most mundane blog post in recent history, but no issues I would like to comment on have popped up lately (I don't care much about young people filming themselves fucking, although I did watch the infamous clip), no sanctimonious souls have penned moralistic letters to the Straits Times Forum (although one ass-kisser did praise the PAP to the skies) and the world is already well on its way to hell (after all the firearms crimes, pregnant woman-killed-with-sword, now a child-killer? tsk tsk). What else to write about, but daily life, then?

And much as I would not like to admit, my life can be fucking boring.
