Basket.

I know updates have been sparse, because I have been caught up in a web of computer games and inordinate loafing.

Well, yet again we stand on the threshold of a whole new year. Time once more for the usual end-of-year-round-up post where I look at everything that has gone on in the past 12 months and hope that everything which went right continues to go right, and everything that went wrong goes right in the coming year.

2007, of course, was an infinite improvement on its 2 previous predecessors, for obvious reasons. After 2 years in green, with associated frustrations, anything would have been an improvement. But this year exceeded expectations. It's been a very good year, full of new experiences and lasting memories, and I have really enjoyed it.

Highlights included 2 terms at Whitley, which mentally confirmed me in my choice of career, an additional term back at my alma mater which I enjoyed immensely despite the often-precarious balancing act it forced me into, four days in the Ubin wilderness which turned out to be actually quite memorable, finally becoming a student again and ending the year really late with some very satisfactory semestral results. It has been a very eventful, fulfilling and satisfying year, and my thanks goes out to everybody who has helped make it so - far too many for me to name.

My hope, of course, would be that 2008 turns out just as good or better; not just for me, but for everybody else too.
